The Drainpipe is a striking couloir on the north face of Mount Parnassus. The approach from Ruby Gulch is quick and straightforward. Once you break out of the trees, the Drainpipe will be right in front of you. While some parties opt to gain the summit via the ridge, we decided to climb the couloir directly on this outing. The steeper, narrow drainpipe section eventually opens up into a wider bowl leading to the summit.
